I think the most incredible thing about this place is how much the staff seems to genuinely care about each and every child in that play area. I hesitate to use the term "customer service" because it's not quite good enough. We didn't feel like customers, or even guests. We felt like we were visiting a friend! The playspace is incredible too, but I think it plays second fiddle in the experience! We will absolutely happily travel from our home way up in north county to frequent this establishment as often as we can!
This place totally ROCKS! My son IS on the Autism Spectrum (11yo, very verbal, intelligent, moderate-high functioning), visits often, and places it at the top of his favorites. It truly is a place every kid is welcomed. I think he especially likes that he can be a big kid and a helper on things like the zip line but also indulge the insecure younger self in him without ridicule. The staff are patient and playful, but the owners are downright angels. Tom keeps a watchful eye, helps diffuse, and lends a hand when asked if he sees my son's stress level rising. He shows genuine interest and is incredibly affirming. One day, I watched him teach a toddler step by step how to safely descend the slanted rock climbing wall; it was amazing. We take for granted sometimes what we know, forgetting all the little details we have mastered to do it well; Tom just instinctively seems to get it and proactively share it.
This place is awesome! So much fun for the kids! Had my son's 3rd bday her and Staff are nice and helpful. So many activities. None of the kids wanted to leave
Great place! Kids loved it. We were there for a bday party!!!
The place is filled with heavy-load equipment like swings you might see in an Occupational Therapist's office, a big trampoline, and a zip line. As well, there is a model train table, doll house area, arts & crafts area, some smaller playground & toddler type play things, dress-up clothes, and a quiet area with low lighting, bean bag chairs, books, soft music, and small sensory objects. They also have a small gift shop and a party room.
Tom is a true gem, always welcoming, tries to remember the kids' names and preferences, and our 21 month old girls always have such a great time playing here.
When we held our son's birthday there, they took care of most of the details and charmed everyone so much, most of the kids were begging their parents to bring them back. When families old and new attended WRTS's Halloween Party, I saw the same. They had themed refreshments, simple but classic decor, piped in Holiday tunes, and crafts. Parents were able to enjoy some chat and laughter with each other in the party room and to move freely between there and the gym area without the need to be right on top of their kids non-stop. We are so very grateful to WRTS and for what it has added to our lives. We know we can send our son with his godfather there for hours of play, and everyone will have a safe and happy day.
